Liberty Pathways, LLC offers a variety of personal and professional services designed to meet your individual, group and/or company needs. Rest assured, you do not need any previous experience with horses for Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) or Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) to be successful! Horses are magnificent, powerful prey animals who live in the present moment, are part of a community, give instant feedback, mirror what we feel, model how we come across to others and help us to listen to what's in our hearts. Since horses are large in size and highly interactive, they tend to get us out of our heads and into the present moment.
As humans, we generally know what is best for us, we sometimes just need the right environment to work through our "stuff" and experience the answer or solution. Research has shown this type of solution focused, experiential therapy to be more effective in treating clients and require less sessions than those taking place in an office setting.
Personal Services - Individual, couple and family sessions are one hour in length and group sessions are ninety minutes. Wellness workshops vary in length. EAP has shown to be effective in treating a wide variety of conditions that may be interferring with everyday life including: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, marital conflict, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), struggling to make an important decision, lack of confidence and dealing with loss. Or, maybe you just need a sacred space to pause, reflect and get in touch with your inner guidance.
Professional Services - For businesses working on team development, strategic direction, visioning and areas like customer service, EAL can take you to that next level. Programs and sessions can be customized according to your specific needs.
We utilize a team approach (a mental health professional, equine specialist professional and the horses), 100% on the ground, solution focused and adheres to a code of ethics. All sessions are co-facilitated which maximizes your physical and emotional safety while working with the horses.

Luann Mabarak
Luann is a Professional Licensed Counselor who enjoys blending her passions of partnering with animals and showing compassion for others. She has training as a Mental Health Professional in equine assisted learning, is a HealthRHYTHMS Group Empowerment Drumming Facilitator and Certified Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator.

The horses and mule spend most of their days happily grazing in the pasture while enjoying the beauty that Northern Michigan has to offer at Serenity Ranch.
Missy Plauman
Missy has training in equine assisted learning as a horse professional and is the horse trainer/owner of Serenity Ranch. She also owns 2 pet spas and is a dog groomer. A student of Parelli Natural Horsemanship, she has studied with Pat and Linda in both Florida and Colorado.
